Resident Evil Movie Trailer Provides a Small Glimpse of What’s to Come
The new trailer for the Resident Evil movie begins with Austin Abrams, known for his role in Weapons, searching for a phone in a deserted house located in the middle of a snowy field. After he manages to access the phone, he calls his girlfriend to inform her that “some things have happened” and that he won’t be seeing her anytime soon. From that moment on, the trailer’s tone shifts dramatically, featuring intense action sequences and the zombies Abrams will encounter.
The trailer provides players with a brief look at the various types of zombies featured in the movie. Among them are a massive, blobby monster lurking in the sewers and hordes of zombies attacking from multiple directions, as well as various blood-filled environments. As the trailer progresses, it intensifies, showing Austin running through a narrow lane while zombies fall from rooftops around him like explosive body bombs. This essentially captures the level of horror and gore that director Cregger aims to deliver.
In other news, Resident Evil Requiem developers have provided the first update on the upcoming story DLC. Additionally, the game’s producer has hinted at a different mini-game arriving soon.
