The first trailer for the Resident Evil movie was previewed at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. It gets violent and bloody pretty quickly.
Earlier this month, it was reported that the Resident Evil movie had already received positive reactions from its early test screenings, indicating that things are progressing well. Now, the details of the first trailer suggest it could generate considerable hype, as the director has teased how crazy it could get.
Resident Evil Movie Trailer Has Zombies Leaping Off Buildings and Bursting on Impact
A report by Variety reveals the details of the Resident Evil movie trailer that was featured at CinemaCon. It begins with Austin Abrams from Weapons, finding himself in front of a house in a snowy field. Abrams is trying really hard to find a phone, and once he does, he contacts his girlfriend to say they might never talk again. The trailer then transitions to showcasing the type of zombies and their demeanor in the movie.
One scene provides a glimpse of a “bloated” zombie in a sewer, and another shows Abrams being chased by a horde of zombies. The zombies are running behind him on the rooftops and start leaping off the buildings while chasing the character, leading to them bursting on impact as soon as they touch the ground. If that’s what was included in the trailer, you can imagine the kind of graphic scenes the full movie could have.
It has not been announced when the Resident Evil movie trailer will be revealed to the public.
In other news, the Resident Evil movie will not feature franchise favorite character, Leon Kennedy, as it is an entirely original story. The movie’s director has stated that its tone will be more in line with RE4. What are your thoughts on the first trailer details for the Resident Evil Movie?
