Bloober Team is moving to a multi-project structure, which has led the studio to work on seven horror titles.
The team responsible for titles such as Silent Hill 2 Remake and Cronos: The New Dawn is now working on multiple projects at once. We have already heard about games like Layers of Fear 3 and Project M, which are only available on Nintendo hardware, and more. It seems over 7 games are being developed in some way by Bloober Team.
Bloober Team Leadership Expands With New Multi-Project Structure Coming Into Play
A report from GameIndustry.Biz highlights recent leadership appointments at Bloober Team. First, Thaine Lyman, a former senior leader at Activision, will serve as head of studio. Next, Katya Baukova, who has senior experience from the developer of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red, will serve as the new director of business development. Lastly, Michał Gembicki, the CEO of Klabater SA and a former CD Projekt Red employee, will assume the position of head of publishing.
The CEO, Piotr Babieno, has announced that the team will maintain two first-party production teams at all times, as “relying on a single title creates too much risk in today’s market.” They prefer not to have more than two teams to avoid potential impacts on quality and focus, which could lead to creative oversight. In addition to these teams, the co-development label Broken Mirror Games is supporting the development of five other horror games, including Layers of Fear 3.
