Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil movie seems to be shaping up well, as it has received good reactions at the early test screenings.
We haven’t heard much about the Resident Evil movie by Zach Cregger for some time now; however, early information had revealed that fans of the franchise should expect an original story that has nothing to do with any other Resident Evil movies and feels “fresh, edgy, and weird,” and it seems fans are liking his approach.
Resident Evil Movie Early Test Screening Scores Set Up Big Expectations for the Movie
The information regarding the early test screening of the Resident Evil movie comes from insider DanielRPK’s latest post on X (formerly Twitter). According to Daniel, the reactions to the movie were “great.” However, fans in the comments section express mixed feelings about this news. While some are excited, others are skeptical about whether the film will resonate with dedicated Resident Evil fans. It’s important to note that the early test screenings have not yet been officially confirmed.
At the moment, there isn’t much information about what to expect from the upcoming movie. Cregger has confirmed that the title could be set between Resident Evil 2 and 3. Additionally, there has been a synopsis leak for the project as well, which talks bout Bryan, who is portrayed by The Walking Dead’s Austin Abrams, who has to go on a late-night delivery to Raccoon City General Hospital, where all the strangeness unfolds, with him stumbling “into a full-blown outbreak involving horrifying tentacle-based mutations and bio-engineered monstrosities.”
In other news, the Resident Evil movie will not feature franchise favorite character, Leon Kennedy, due to its original setting. Additionally, the movie’s tone will be more in line with RE4, and the shooting took place in Prague.
