The Xbox rebrand is officially hitting its consoles.
On Friday, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma took to Twitter to announce that the new logo is being added to Xbox systems in several areas.
“Dropping today: our new logo in dynamic backgrounds, profile backgrounds, and gamer pics,” she said.
It’s not the biggest news in the world, but it’s another step by Xbox to bring the brand back to the forefront of gaming. Recently, it was reported that the company was dropping Microsoft Gaming in favor of Xbox. They’ve also announced a price cut to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC to coincide with the removal of Call of Duty as a day-one title.
And for those interested in Xbox’s next-gen system, the company plans to talk about some of its features during a new Game Dev Update series in May. According to Microsoft, the show will give a “closer look at Project Helix”, as well as go through the details on the console that were first shared at GDC in March.
