It doesn’t matter how good the gameplay is or how hard the story hits you; Stellar Blade will always be somewhat overshadowed by its oversexualized characters and costumes. Whatever you think about the discourse, it’s there, and it continues with Evie’s appearance in Stellar Blade: Blood Rain.
Stellar Blade 2 has been in production for a long time, and Stellar Blade Blood Rain was officially announced at Summer Game Fest 2026.
The sequel opts for new words over a number two, but also a new protagonist. The initial gameplay looks quite literally stellar, but all everyone has been talking about is how Evie is a ‘Downgrade.’
A new interview has opened up on the character’s outfits.
Stellar Blade: Blood Rain’s Evie is a ‘Lovable Character’

‘She is younger. She’s smaller in size. She’s shorter than Eve, but she has a stronger personality and engages in much tougher battles. And she’s actually part of a special squad that chases after a group of terrorists who cause terror attacks here and there in the city,’ said Shift Up CEO Hyung-tae Kim in an interview with IGN.
There’s a clear emphasis on Evie being a different type of character from Eve. The CEO also added: ‘I definitely like how Eve looked in the previous Stellar Blade. But this time, Evie, not just her physical looks, but her personality, the way she talks, the way she engages in battles, all that will combine together, and you’ll see that she’s a very lovable character.’
To fill you in, the belief is that Evie looks much younger than Eve, but still retains the sexuality that Eve displayed, and this will be on display in Evie’s outfits, it seems.
When discussing her choice of attire, Hyung-tae Kim said this:
‘It will be even more appealing, that’s all we can say.’
Eve’s wardrobe famously featured a wild assortment of garments, with some being less than conventional in a battle. Let’s just say that: Remember the Skin Suit?
I’m just hoping that we’ll be able to get over Evie’s outfits and look forward to an incredible sequel. You can see the game’s first footage for yourself right here.
