Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Cuts Key Content From The Original

The developers have confirmed what content has been cut from the original for Final Fantasy 7 Revelation.

The final part of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy has been finally revealed at the latest Summer Game Fest event, and players cannot wait to see what’s in store for them for the conclusion. However, it is a remake in the end, and the third part was unable to incorporate all the elements of the original title.

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Won’t Feature Bone Village

The confirmation about Final Fantasy 7 Revelation’s cut content comes from director Naoki Hamaguchi’s latest interview with RPGsite (via Gamerant). In one of the questions, Hamaguchi was directly asked whether players will be able to go to Bone Village in the final part of the trilogy, to which the director responded, stating: “Bone Village itself is not included, but North Wood and the Temple of Ancients, we’ll be able to revisit.”

For those unaware, Bone Village was a field map in the original Final Fantasy title, which was found in the Icicle Area. The map was used to dig up rare items, and a digging minigame also provided players with important items. The map was also used to dig up the Lunar Harp, which was required to access the Forgotten City. However, all is not lost, as the snowboarding minigame and other minigames will return in the next part.

In other news, Square Enix has confirmed that there is a new English voice actor for Sephiroth in Final Fantasy 7 Revelation. Additionally, Final Fantasy 7 Revelation director has revealed that the game does have choices, but will feature a ‘singular ending’.
