Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Release Window Revealed at Summer Game Fest

Square Enix has finally revealed the next installment in the Final Fantasy Remake Trilogy, with a new Part 3 Revelation trailer arriving at today’s Summer Game Fest event. The title is set to release in Spring 2027 for all platforms.

The final announcement at the Summer Game Fest was a big one indeed, and as promised, it was a single-player narrative title. However, it wasn’t any random game; it was the third installment of one of the most beloved series in gaming, Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3: Revelation Revealed in New Trailer, Simultaneous Release on All Platforms Confirmed

This is the ideal moment for Square Enix to unveil Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3, especially with the release of the previous installment, Rebirth, for the Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S has already arrived. The trailer highlighted Sephiroth and various creatures that Cloud and his allies will face in the final part of the series. Additionally, we got to see extensive gameplay featuring a range of characters. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 will be released simultaneously on PlayStation 5, PC, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S, allowing players on all platforms to experience the final chapter together in Spring 2027.

The developers rocked up with two more trailers for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 at the event. Players were informed about traversing High Wind and exploring their most expansive open world yet. Players were also informed about a hybrid battle system that has been refined through all three parts, bringing fluid real-time action while seamlessly switching between party members.

The anticipation for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 has been intense, with players receiving various hints from the developers. These hints include the possibility of DLC, new gameplay mechanics, a multi-platform release, and much more. However, it took over two years for the developers to finally reveal just the game’s title. Now that the name and trailer have been unveiled, players are eager to see all the new stuff the developers will introduce for the third installment of the trilogy through a deep dive event.

In other news, Final Fantasy 7 Remake director wants someone else to take on the lead role for the Final Fantasy 6 Remake. Additionally, Final Fantasy 7 Remake series director has spoken about the potential for a DLC for part 3, or even a ‘full title’ after that.
