Players have been informed that they will receive free monthly games in May 2026 through PlayStation Plus Essential.
The time has arrived for players to check out the new free games for the month, and, as we know, games are revealed by tier. We already got some really good picks in April, like Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, Crew Motorfest, and more. May doesn’t seem like it will disappoint either, as it comes with one of the most popular sports games ever.
EA Sports FC 26 and 2 More Games Available Through PlayStation Plus in May
Announced through a new blog post, the next set of PlayStation Plus free monthly games will arrive on May 5, and you will need a PS Plus Essential membership to claim the titles. The list includes the latest installment of one of the most popular sports video game series of all time, EA Sports FC 26 (PS5/PS4). Additionally, players receive the new soulslike action RPG Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (PS5) and the hand-drawn action-platformer Nine Sols (PS5/PS4).
What’s more, PS Plus members will also be able to claim the EA Sports FC 26 PlayStation Plus Icons Pack this month. This is a special add-on that can be redeemed while the game is available through the collection. Those are just the games in the first membership tier. Later on in the month, we will be informed about the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog titles for May 2026, which will be available for PS Plus Extra and Premium members.
In other news, 7 games will be removed from the PlayStation Plus library in May. Additionally, PlayStation 5 has received a new April 2026 update, and here are all the changes and tweaks in the patch notes. What are your thoughts on the PlayStation Plus May 2026 monthly games?
