Troy Baker Has Begun ‘Conversations’ for Creating His Own Video Game

Troy Baker, a well-known name in the gaming industry, is working to tell a high-caliber story through his own video game.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably know about Troy Baker. He is a prominent voice actor involved in some of the biggest projects in the gaming industry. Baker has voiced Joel in The Last of Us series, Indy in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Sam in Uncharted 4, Higgs in Death Stranding 2, and many more. However, it appears that he will soon be working on his own video game as well.

Troy Baker Is Not Rushing to Make His Video Game

During a new interview with Eurogamer, Troy Baker expressed his desire to tell stories through his own video game. Baker first spoke about being inspired by Abubakar Salim, who created his own studio and game after voicing in games like Assassin’s Creed Origins. Baker elaborates that he has had the honor of working with some of the greats in the industry, including Ken Levine, Hideo Kojima, Neil Druckmann, Vince Zampella, and more, and has learned a lot from them.

Baker is excited about “taking those tenets, taking those principles of wildly successful titles – not just in terms of sales and figures, but the stories that have defined the industry – and being able to innovate and replicate and emulate those processes and practices into the stories that I want to tell.”

The Last of Us actor also revealed that he has begun “conversations” about his video game and told some of the individuals in these meetings that the timeline is “not rushed”. Baker wishes to take his time and ensure that, when it is time to tell his story, “it’s one of just as high a caliber as those that I am trying to emulate.”

In other news, Harrison Ford appeared in a recent interview to discuss his acting career, taking a moment to address Troy Baker’s recent performance as Indy. Additionally, it has been reported that Troy Baker will return to Naughty Dog to work with Neil Druckmann once again. What are your thoughts on Troy Baker creating his own video game?
