Take-Two CEO Addresses GTA 6 Release Date Again

When will Grand Theft Auto 6 come out? This question is the one being asked by gamers, fans, and even other developers and publishers. November 19 is supposed to be the date, and Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has given an updated comment on it.

Will GTA 6 be delayed again in 2026? For so many reasons, this simply can’t happen. We need it, you need it, and the world is desperate for Grand Theft Auto 6 to take up several hundred hours of all of our lives.

Each GTA 6 release date update feels massive, and Zelnick might have given a positive sign.

GTA 6 November 19 Release Date Looking More Likely

I think it’s a case of until GTA 6 is finally out, everyone will be on tenterhooks until the very last second.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently spoke at iicon in Las Vegas. Here, he made an interesting comment about a long-awaited L.A. Noire return.

But it’s his jokey line on GTA 6 (via IGN) that has grabbed headlines: “[I] think a lot of people will be calling in sick on November 19.”

Would Zelnick really say something like this if he thought for one second the GTA 6 release date was in danger? It would be a terrible look for Take-Two and Rockstar Games if they announced another delay now.

Not even the recent GTA Leak, which raised Take-Two Interactive’s stock value by over $1 billion, has been able to derail the release date, it seems. We refuse to put our eggs in one basket yet, but it’s getting closer to November 19, and you have to say, it’s looking good that Grand Theft Auto 6 will finally happen!

Will you be following Zelnick’s advice and booking time off work to play GTA 6? Is it definitely going to come out on November 19? Let us know your thoughts and more via the Insider Gaming Discord.
