Digital Bros has entered into an agreement with the developer of WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers to purchase the IP for over $4.5 million.
A report from earlier this month had revealed that WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers’ development team had been dissolved after the game director left the project. However, fans of the game can rejoice, as it might not be the end of the franchise yet, with Digital Bros purchasing it.
Digital Bros Will Be the New Owner of WUCHANG Fallen Feathers IP
According to a press release shared with Insider Gaming, Digital Bros and Chinese developer Chengdu Lingze Technology Co. Ltd. have signed an agreement for Digital Bros to acquire the WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers IP. The deal has been made for RMB 32 million (approximately Euro 4 million or USD 4.7 million).
Through the deal, Digital Bros will receive the full ownership of the IP for the Group, which provides the company with “full retention of the value generated throughout its lifecycle and eliminating any future royalty obligations to the developer.”
Digital Bros is the parent company of 505 Games, which has published the PC versions of Death Stranding and Control.
