A reliable insider has corroborated reports that a new Metro game reveal could arrive next week.
It has been a very long time since we heard about what 4A Games is cooking up with the Metro series, with no new announcement arriving since its confirmation. There was a tiny window last year where players thought we could get an announcement, with 4A raming up their socials; however, that never came.
Metro Exodus Sequel Reveal Announcement Could Arrive Next Week
The claim about a new Metro game being revealed next week comes from a post by X user (formerly Twitter) AlexandreNGamR. It says, “For those like me who appreciate the franchise, a new Metro game is expected to be announced next week.” What’s more, reliable insider NateTheHate has replied to one of the comments on the post, stating “it’s true,” and, in a separate thread, has said the rumors about it being revealed next week “have merit.”
Readers should take this information with a grain of salt, as the information is not definitive and there is no official word from the developers.
It has been a very long time since we received a new Metro game, considering the last mainline entry, Metro Exodus, was released back in 2019. In 2023, Insider Gaming exclusively reported that the Metro Exodus sequel, or Metro 4, was well into development and fully playable. The team had also stated in 2020 that they were “committed to delivering a great story-driven single-player experience” and that players would be “excited” about their “plans for the next chapter.”
In other news, the same insider has also claimed that a PlayStation State of Play is expected next week. Additionally, a Star Fox game could be announced this month.
