NateTheHate provides a new update on when players can expect the next Sony PlayStation State of Play.
The PlayStation State of Play presentations are Sony’s equivalent to Nintendo Directs, and where PS5 owners can expect the latest updates on games coming to PlayStation and games being made by the in-house studios. Now, reliable leaker NateTheHate has revealed that the next Sony presentation is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, April 16. However, that date is unconfirmed
Sony PlayStation Games Set for 2026
At the most recent State of Play, players received news on Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, the return of Castlevania, and even a shadow-dropped God of War experience in God of War: Sons of Sparta. Looking ahead, the Marvel fighting game is slated for release this August, SAROS is coming out shortly, and the upcoming Wolverine game from Insomniac is slated for September.
Additionally, there could be news on the upcoming 007 First Light game as well as other cross-platform games like LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. NateTheHate’s Recent Leaks
While Nate is a reliable leaker, it is important to reiterate that the April 16 date is not yet confirmed. Lately, players have been looking to Nate for news on Nintendo’s offerings for this year.
He recently released a podcast in which he shared all the news he had heard about the major Nintendo releases for the year. Of note, Nate believes the next 3D Mario title will not be released until 2027. However, a major Nintendo staple is slated to return.
