Sony is providing fans the option to pre-order a Limited Edition 007 First Light DualSense Wireless controller this month.
Just before the latest announcement, we learned that the release of 007 First Light for the Switch 2 has been delayed, as the developers have decided to postpone its launch for that platform. The recent announcement brings good news for PS5 players, who will be able to use a brand-new DualSense Wireless Controller.
007 First Light Limited Edition DualSense Controller Pre-Order Date and Price
A new blog post by PlayStation reveals that there’s a special 007 First Light-themed DualSense controller that PS5 users can start pre-ordering from April 17, 10 am local time at direct.playstation.com (U.K., France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg) or through participating retailers in available regions.
The exact release date and availability of the controller will be different for every region, but it will launch alongside the game on May 27. Interested readers can get the upcoming controller for 84.99 USD / ¥12,480 (including tax) / €84.99 / £74.99; however, it will be available in limited quantities globally.
In terms of design, the 007 First Light Limited Edition DualSense Wireless controller features a golden sheen and radiant barrel design. Rasmus Poulsen, Franchise Art Director on 007 First Light, has stated, “The golden finish pays tribute to the elegance, legacy, and timeless style of the franchise, while the barrel-inspired detailing reflects the themes of the game and how it feels to play it, as well as being a nod to one of pop culture’s most recognizable visual signatures.”
In other news, 007 First Light’s gameplay director has revealed that the game took inspiration from the Batman: Arkham and Uncharted series for combat.
