Imagine Dragons Lead Singer Reveals Last Flag as First Video Game

In 2020, Imagine Dragons’ lead singer, Dan Reynolds, and his brother Mac founded Night Street Games. After five years, the studio announced its first game at Summer Game Fest 2025.

Dan Reynolds is a known gaming fan, and Imagine Dragons had dipped its toe into the industry. Imagine Dragons made a song to promote the 2024 League of Legends World Championship, and also made the theme music for the television show, Arcane, which is based on LoL.

In addition, Imagine Dragons composed a song for Starfield. So, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Reynolds brothers took that passion and channeled it into creating a video game of their own.

Last Flag Gets Reveal Trailer

Last Flag is a 5v5 multiplayer game with a simple objective. One team hides a flag, while the other team must retrieve it and defend it for a minute to win.

The trailer revealed several different classes to choose from, and each character has unique abilities and weapons.

In an interview with Headliner, Dan Reynolds revealed, “I’m making the whole soundtrack, I’m doing voices, I did all the rough sketches of characters, and then we brought in really great artists to make everything way better than I could possibly ever do.”

Reynolds also said that the game was all funded with the brothers’ money, and will first be available on PC, potentially followed by other consoles.

In other gaming news, Black Myth: Wukong is coming to Xbox on August 20, Superman and Robin star in Fortnite Chapter 6, and Mario Kart World players figured out how to use the classic lap format.
