At Summer Game Fest 2025, SCUM is finally set to leave early access and get a full release.
SCUM is a unique open-world zombie survival game that challenges players to survive on an island full of zombies as part of a game show. The game exclusively launched on PC in 2018, and Gampires brought the early access game to Xbox in 2023.
We weren’t sure when we would see a full release for the game, but Gampires finally provided fans with a date.
SCUM Release Date Revealed
SCUM officially leaves Steam Early Access and launches exclusively for PC on June 17.
The zombie game is just as chaotic as fans remember. Players can craft, scavenge, and collect resources to survive. However, it won’t be an easy task as the island is full of savage zombies and mechs, and other players are ready to rip you apart.
SCUM keeps the same gameplay loop, as players can go in alone or squad up with other players, as you have to manage your nutrition, hydration, and all other bodily functions as you try to survive.
It’s unclear what other updates are coming for the full release, but if it’s anything like the massive 1.0 update, fans can expect a substantial overhaul.
In other Summer Game Fest 2025 news, Hitman collabs with James Bond, Wildgate gets an open beta next week, and Jurassic World Evolution 3 launches in October.
