Oh boy, the GTA 6 and Sony PlayStation narrative has taken an interesting turn. It’s been no secret since pre-orders went live that PlayStation has been heavily promoting Rockstar’s new game, and from different viewpoints, it would look like the feeling is mutual.
Sony has claimed GTA 6 plays ‘Best on PS5.’ Additionally, we’ve learned that GTA 6 will be PS5 Pro Enhanced, that there will be GTA 6 PlayStation-Exclusive features, and also that GTA 6 will have ‘Improved Performance’ and ‘More Stable FPS’ on PS5 Pro.
Following all of this up are reports that the GTA 6 website is only favoring PlayStation branding, but there’s more to it than that.
GTA 6 Default Website Shows Both PlayStation & Xbox
Social media is a hotbed for all GTA 6 news, theories, and misinformation right now.
New claims and screenshots surfaced showing the main website featuring the ‘Plays Best on PS’ marketing, and also the eye-opening omission of XBOX pre-orders—only advertising PS5 pre-orders instead.

To be clear, these are special marketing links that DO only highlight Sony and PlayStation—Shown here by @videotech.
But this is not the case for everyone, and if you search for the main Rockstar Games website on your own, you’ll see the differences.

- Here’s the normal Rockstar Games website without any marketing.
The first link is PlayStation-themed; the second is what you’ll see normally.
It’s only very specific links that show the PS5 branding and advertising, but make no mistake, it does exist, and Sony does seem to be getting the sweeter end of the deal with GTA 6.
