The upcoming Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake, called Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, won’t have multiplayer or DLC, and the focus is on streamlining and offering a single-player experience with the base content.
Ubisoft’s April 23 Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Showcase officially revealed Resynced for the first time. It announced and revealed many things, but one of the features that stood out above the rest was that the game will be a “pure story-driven adventure” and that Ubisoft wants to focus on Edward’s original adventure and nothing else.
No Multiplayer or DLC in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced
Developer Ubisoft has decided that Resynced will not have its original DLC or multiplayer, and will instead include new story elements, such as a reworked Animus and moments, and even a new combat system focusing on action.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will release on July 9th, 2026, and there’s so much to look forward to, including reworked Tailing Missions and Matt Ryan returning for Black Flag Resynced.
Insider Gaming understands that at least one more Assassin’s Creed game is in development as a remake, and that future remakes will enter development depending on how well Black Flag Resynced performs, which, judging by the announcement hype, will likely be a success.

Well, you’re wrong because it’s already been confirmed there’s zero rpg elements in the game… Pretty easy to find this out.
Please stop with the remake and just bring better Assassin Creed storyline. Mirage story was just plain and shadows was a better story. Bring a new one at least.
ok, the multiplayer stuff is fair, but i don’t think they should have removed the old DLCs (unless Black Flag was one of those ones where the only DLCs were characters for the multiplayer in which case, fair)
Ubisoft shooting themselves in the foot as always. Freedom Cry deserves recognition it was better than rouge and liberation. Its already there.
Even if this turned out to be a re-skinned tropical Mirage with Odyssey’s ship combat it would still be one of the best new games out. I encourage everyone to NOT show up with a pre-decided dealbreaker in your mind: “If it doesn’t have [exact tiny thing from the original] I am categorically out and will be a hater in all possible comments even though I haven’t played it for one second.” Let’s not do that. Let’s try having fun this time around! You don’t want a beautiful and well-made tropical open world pirate game to come out because it looks different from a ps4 game that you can still play as-is right now – doesn’t really add up logically.
No multiplayer!? Wasted effort. Black flag was the BEST multiplayer one they made and they aren’t bringing it back? Idiots.

Good riddance to that stupid multiplayer they had. I could never 100% the game cause of MP achievements. I am so glad they got rid of that.
