The upcoming Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake, called Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, won’t have multiplayer or DLC.
The announcement will come during tomorrow’s Ubisoft presentation, which will officially reveal Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced for the first time. It will announce that the game will be a “pure story-driven adventure” and that Ubisoft wants to focus on Edward’s adventure.
As part of that decision, it was decided that the game would not have its original DLC or multiplayer and would instead include new story elements, content, and systems.
It was said that the original game, its DLC, and other content will still be available.
According to our sources, Ubisoft doesn’t intend to release any original DLC, even if the game is a huge success.
Insider Gaming understands that at least one more Assassin’s Creed game is in development as a remake, and that future remakes will enter development depending on how well Black Flag Resynced performs, which, judging by pre-reveal announcement hype, will likely be a success.
The first gameplay snippet from the reveal announcement trailer has already leaked online, showcasing the visual improvements over the original.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will release on July 9th, 2026.
