The secret is a secret no more: Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced will launch July 9, 2026, and the confirmation came from the official Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced showcase broadcast to the world.
As many of you know, Insider Gaming was fortunate enough to see Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced‘s release date before the official showcase. However, now it’s official, and Ubisoft has confirmed what we already knew.
Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced Release Date Announced During Showcase

Despite original plans for the game to be revealed on April 16, Ubisoft decided to postpone the announcement until this week. Media and content creators received a roughly 30-minute presentation of the game, and an unnamed source sent it our way.
As you’ve seen, we’ve learned a great deal about it:
- It doesn’t include DLC or Multiplayer.
- There’s a reworked Animus with new content.
- A tasty Collector’s Edition awaits the hungriest and pirates: We now know price details, too.
- Edward Kenway’s original Voice Actor is back.
- Tailing Missions have been revamped.
- Combat has been reworked to be more action-oriented.
But now, it’s official.
So, just like that, the countdown to Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced is on, and it’s not long until you can relive one of the greatest Assassin’s Creed games all over again in glorious, modern-day beauty.

Still a Ubisoft game, so don’t buy
I only play assassin’s creed games and have since ps1 so I am excited at any new release.
“…and have since ps1…”
No, you haven’t. There wasn’t an AC game on playstation until the PS3…
Wait an asasins creed that’s NOT an rpg?! Why? I only know the creeds as rpgs so this seems very counterintuitive. Ugh. Looks like a hard pass then.
quit whining baby you are the minority for what the game needs. You’re lucky ubisoft has fulfilled your stupid needs for the past 10 years
Can’t wait for everyone to buy this Ubisoft game and then complain that it’s a Ubisoft game.
This is perfect timing. I started up Black Flag on PC but it has no controller support. I only got a few hours into this game so looking forward to playing this in 4k
