Xbox is changing how Achievements work, introducing new visuals, usability improvements, and more. Insiders can test it starting today.
It’s been some time since we saw a new feature being tested by the Xbox Insiders. Last month, we saw a select group of players try out features like groups on home, custom colors, disable Quick Resume, and more. Now, the latest introduction brings a massive overhaul to how Xbox Achievements look and work.
Xbox Insiders Can Test the New Achievements Starting Today
A new Xbox Wire post details all the improvements made to Achievements. First and foremost, the look and feel have been changed with updated icons and animations for rare and classic achievements. These Notifications will also match the players’ chosen custom color, introduced in the previous Insider update.
There’s a new feature that allows players to hide any game from their Achievement history. Players should note that this only affects the profile’s appearance; hidden games will still count towards the player’s total Gamerscore.
Another new feature on Xbox Achievements is to highlight the games that you have 100% completed. Players will also find new filter options in this view to better manage their achievements.
The new Achievements improvements are available to select Xbox Insiders starting today, so they can begin testing the updates immediately. More Insiders will receive the new update over time, with “broader availability coming later to all players.”
