Fable’s Main Quests and Side Quests Length Revealed

The length of the upcoming Fable title has been revealed.

A reboot of the Fable franchise will be released in 2027. It is not only a reboot but also the first in the franchise to bring the XBOX staple to PlayStation. Now, we know how long the game’s main campaign will be.

Fable Will Approximately Have 20 Hours of Mainline Quests

Fable Budget

During a Q&A at Gamescom 2026, the developers of the upcoming game revealed to Polygon that Fable will have about 20 hours of mainline quests. There will be an equal amount of side quests and open-world exploration.

“We have around 15-20 hours of mainline quest gameplay, we have around 15-20 of side and open-world exploration content gameplay. And then, of course, the life systems are limitless, so you can play them for as long as you want.”

While this game will bring a major staple of Microsoft’s gaming history to PlayStation, the XBOX brand has recently reconsidered its approach to exclusivity. Still, that does not mean that a title like The Elder Scrolls 6 will be exclusive to XBOX consoles.
