Ubisoft Not Holding Its Ubisoft Forward Showcase In 2025

Ubisoft won’t be holding its own separate Ubisoft Forward showcase in 2025.

First reported by Stephen Totilo of Game File, Ubisoft has confirmed that, for the first time since the show’s debut in 2020 it won’t have a stand alone event.

Instead, a representative for Ubisoft told Totilo that the company will have a presence at other events including IGN Live and PC Gaming Show. Ubisoft will also be at Gamescom 2025 in August.

“We are always eager to connect with our players and showcase our games,” the rep told Totilo. We are continuing to explore opportunities to share updates, and we look forward to providing more information at a later date.”

As far as why Ubisoft Forward isn’t happening in 2025, it’s likely a mix of cutting back spending along with a limited lineup for the year. The company released Assassin’s Creed Shadows back in March and is currently working on a planned expansion for later this year. Also in development from the studio—from a known to the public perspective—are Anno 117: Pax Romana, Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake. Ubisoft is also working on the next Ghost Recon game known as Project Over, a remake of the first Splinter Cell game, and a number of new Assassin’s Creed titles.

In March, it was announced that Ubisoft was creating a new subsidiary with Tencent that would see its larger franchises like Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six move under the new company. At the time of the announcement, it was revealed by Insider Gaming that there wasn’t a firm initial plan regarding how things will operate with the new company.
