Minecraft and Adidas have announced a new collaboration featuring a new IRL collection and the free Adidas Adventurers add-on.
Minecraft’s Adidas Adventurers Add-On
The new add-on will feature three new companions, which provide passive effects such as damage or haste buffs, hunger prevention and lava protection. There are three companions: The Coach, The Mascot and the Teammate. The Coach helps you find ore blocks by highlighting them or teleporting them to you. The Mascot is the gatherer, collecting crops or items you need. Lastly, the Teammate is a brother in arms and will help fight mobs.
Adidas Lootboxes and Armour
The Coach is the most essential companion out of the three in Minecraft’s Adidas Adventurers Add-On. Interacting with this character will provide players access to a quest list containing milestones like the distance you’ve run, swam, or amount of mobs defeated. Players will receive an Adidas Lootbox on each milestone, which features random items.
Players will find Minecraft items in blue lootboxes, but the Gold Lootboxes are where all the fun is. These contain Adidas armour with stylish designs featuring the iconic stripes. The gear can be enhanced and also has special powers like water breathing, damage reflection, super jump, and more.
Interested players can grab the Adidas Adventurers add-on for free at Minecraft Marketplace. To check out the Adidas collaboration, players will need Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and access to the internet.
Adidas x Minecraft IRL Collection
The collaboration isn’t limited to the game. An IRL collection with limited edition designs is now available on adidas.com. The collection features T-shirts, shorts, tracksuits, and sneakers in sizes for kids and teens, and the designs have been inspired by Minecraft’s iconic mobs.
