Stick It to the Stickman launches version 1.0 today after a year in Early Access, adding new content and raising the price. Developed by Free Lives and published by Devolver Digital, Stick It to the Stickman is a physics-driven roguelite brawler where you fight through waves of red stick figures and find new meaning in climbing the corporate ladder.
The new update adds more combat options and enemies. It also adds a final boss battle and a Neurolink game mode. Unfortunately, it raises the price, which is exactly the kind of shrewd business move this game warns you about.
Stick It to the Stickman 1.0 Adds Two New Modes
The game originally launched in Early Access on August 18, 2025. For the uninitiated, you play as a Blue stickman and fight through waves of red stickmen as you literally climb the corporate ladder. Amid the chaos, you can gain new abilities, and every run ends with a boss battle on a building rooftop. Once you defeat that boss, you become the boss, and then you have to decide how you want to answer to your corporate higher-ups.
The new 1.0 launch adds two game modes, Billionaire Bunker and Neurolink, each promising to boost the game’s replayability.
Version 1.0 of Stick it to the Stickman features two all-new game modes. In Billionaire Bunker, fight your way from the top to the very bottom using new passives and special moves, and face a slightly ridiculous final boss. In Neurolink, choose from 9 archetypes and use mind powers to survive. 1.0 also includes new characters, bosses, level segments and more.
The game is currently 50% off, priced at $5.99. Its new full price is $12. As someone who played it extensively during Early Access, I can confidently say that it’s a fun way to unwind. It’s especially great for gamers who want to squeeze in a quick session before real life takes over again.
