ARC Raiders is about to get its biggest update yet, with Embark Studios preparing to take Raiders into the frozen mountains of Pendola Pass with the arrival of Frozen Trail.
The update is set to introduce a huge amount of new content, including a brand-new map, new ARC enemies, weapons, gadgets, progression systems, and even a customizable Outpost. There’s also the mysterious Frigate, which looks set to offer one of the toughest challenges yet.
With so much coming to ARC Raiders, there’s plenty to keep track of. Here’s everything you need to know about the Frozen Trail update.
Everything New In ARC Raiders Frozen Trail
There’s a lot to take in with the Frozen Trail update, as tons of new content is coming to ARC Raiders. That said, we’ve broken it all down for you below, with the content split into numerous categories.
New Map & The Frigate
Frozen Trail introduces Pendola Pass, an old Italian village and Exodus transport hub surrounded by frozen mountains. The map features a supermarket, town square, observatory, and buried train depot, with a fallen Emperor at its centre containing rare technology.
The Emperor has also attracted the Frigate, one of ARC’s largest vessels. This high-level encounter requires you to board the ship, navigate its interior, unlock new paths, and fight ARC and rival Raiders for its loot. Pendola Pass also introduces the Flash Freeze map condition, which can rapidly turn the valley into a more dangerous environment.
Three New ARC Enemies
Three new ARC enemies are joining the roster. The Bully is a fast, aggressive machine that charges Raiders and attacks with several abilities, while the Skulker lurks around the edges of combat, ambushing you before quickly retreating.
The Hydra is a stationary turret found aboard the Frigate, consisting of three independently operating sections with different weapons. You’ll need to split its attention and find openings to destroy it.
The Outpost & Amplified Weapons
The Outpost expands the Raider Den, giving you a customizable home between the Rust Belt and the mountains. Furniture and modules can be added, while the Research Workstation provides access to new upgrades.
This includes Amplified Weapons, a new fifth quality tier for 15 weapons. These upgrades can significantly change how weapons work, with examples including a fully automatic Burletta, scoped Renegade, and incendiary Rattler with a 64-round magazine. More weapons will be added in the future.
New Weapons, Gadgets & Items
Two new weapons are coming: the Stiletto, a light-ammo battle rifle, and the Bantam, a heavy-ammo snub-nosed revolver with a unique hip-fire ability.
The Grappling Hook allows you to reach difficult areas, rappel, and swing across gaps, while the Tether Launcher connects two points to root enemies or attach Raiders to ARC. The Yank Grenade instead pulls nearby targets towards its detonation point.
Frozen Trail also adds a fully functioning Camera with zoom, aperture, manual and automatic focus, and selfie mode, with photos saved to the Codex. You can also use the new Harmonica and Banjo, alongside Weapon Stencils for weapon customization.
Reward Pass
The new Reward Pass replaces the existing Raider Deck progression with Free, Premium, and Legacy options.
The Free Pass includes 200 Raider Tokens, five outfits, gameplay items, and 20 cosmetic rewards. The Premium Pass adds premium outfit toggles, exclusive colourways, Weapon Stencils, hairstyles, and 1,150 Raider Tokens.
The Legacy Pass is free and combines the existing Raider Decks, allowing you to continue their previous progression. The Collector Set DLC includes both Reward Pass tracks, a cosmetic set, the Renzo, Dragon’s Breath Weapon Stencil, Bob hairstyle, and 2,400 Raider Tokens.
