ARC Raiders was one of the biggest games on the market earlier this year, but as the scope of its updates began to disappoint, its player base also started to dwindle. In an effort to turn things around, Embark Studios has moved away from smaller monthly updates in favour of larger releases twice a year, with the first of these, Frozen Trail, now on the horizon.
Dubbed the Next Frontier, the update will introduce a brand-new map alongside changes to progression and another high-level challenge for players to tackle. Whether that’s enough to give ARC Raiders the shot in the arm it needs remains to be seen, but fans are fairly hopeful.
Fortunately, you won’t have to wait long to find out, with Frozen Trail arriving very soon. Here’s when the ARC Raiders Frozen Trail update releases, including its exact start time.
When Is ARC Raiders Frozen Trail Coming Out?
The Frozen Trail update arrives in ARC Raiders on October 8, roughly six months after the game’s last major update.
Riven Tides was the last substantial update for ARC Raiders, arriving towards the end of April. It introduced a new map alongside several new ARCs and items for players to discover.
However, the update was widely considered underwhelming by the community, and Embark Studios appeared to recognise that something needed to change. The studio subsequently announced plans to move towards a biannual update schedule, allowing each release to be larger in scope and, hopefully, more impactful.
What Time Does ARC Raiders Frozen Trail Release?
The official launch times for Frozen Trail remains unknown, but judging by previous updates, it’s fair to assume it’ll drop at 2 AM PT on October 8, 2026.
That beckons an early start for those on the West Coast, though you’ll have all day to crack on with the huge major update.
