Turkish indie game Bombanana is celebrating some big milestones after its first few weeks on the market. Lefto Studio announced on September 22 that the game had sold over 1 million copies in its first 10 days on PC.
They also boast over 300,000 new wish lists since launch and over 1 million hours of watch time on Twitch. Additionally, the team announced a partnership with Youtooz to create a plush of the bomb-defusing monkeys, complete with a removable blindfold.
The game centers on three players taking on the roles of three monkeys that are blind, deaf, and mute. Players must work together to defuse a bomb.
Lefto Studio Talks About Bombanana Success

Lefto developed the game, and TARK Games published it. The development Studio was founded by 25-year-old Ufuk Girit. Speaking about the game’s success, Girit called the response to Bombanana rewarding.
“From the beginning, we wanted to build something simple to understand but capable of creating completely different moments every time people played together. The fun in BOMBANANA! comes from the players themselves — from how they communicate, misunderstand each other and solve problems together.”
“The response during the demo period was far beyond what we initially imagined. Millions of players tried the game, shared it with their friends and gave us feedback that helped shape the final experience. Seeing that translate into the launch we have had has been incredibly rewarding for a small independent team.”
