According to a new post from reliable Twitter user @SamLeakss, Rocket League is planning a major crossover with Avatar The Last Airbender.
The post only says that the collaboration is “happening soon”. There are no further details on the potential content or release window, at this time.
It will surely involve themed vehicles, but a game mode could also be in store. Rocket League has tweaked certain modes before to align with some previous collaborations.
The most recent Rocket League crossover featured the Mandalorian Mayhem event. This featured various Mandalorian-themed items, as well as the G-Force Frenzy LTM.
The developers have not confirmed anything officially about an Avatar collaboration.
Avatar The Last Airbender has generated a lot of buzz with longtime fans and newcomers alike following Netflix’s live-action adaptation.
Despite dividing some purists, the show earned decent reviews after dropping all eight of its episodes at once. Although it changes a lot, and emphasizes a solemn tone, many still consider it an improvement over the 2010 live-action movie.
Some Rocket League fans became frustrated after the game changed trading. However, the game still boasts some impressive IP collaborations, which surely win over more casual fans.
Avatar The Last Airbender is an iconic animated series, and recently appeared in other games like Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2.
Its universe is full of memorable characters, heart, and humor. Its mature themes about responsibility, war, and spirituality are accessible for fans of all ages.
Avatar The Last Airbender’s fascinating, action-packed world would surely translate well into Rocket League. Ideally, there will be some bending-themed trails and other cosmetics.
The IP also has some of its own official games. However, the most recent title Avatar The Last Airbender: Quest for Balance released last year to abysmal reviews.
