The next set in Pokémon TCG Pocket has been officially revealed following a flood of leaks, confirming the A4 set will focus on Johto Pokémon with Ho-Oh and Lugia as the headline pair.
Pokémon TCG Pocket was surprisingly absent from July’s Pokémon Presents showcase, despite previously announcing a significant revamp to the trade feature that confirmed the date of the next update.
This all but revealed the release date of the A4 set, and a teaser video was accidentally leaked by Pokémon’s Italian YouTube channel. Finally, all those details have been confirmed officially for Pokémon TCG Pocket.
Pokémon TCG Pocket Wisdom of Sky and Sea Revealed
As expected, the Wisdom of Sky and Sea A4 set in Pokémon TCG Pocket releases July 30 and is split into two booster packs. Hit cards will be different in the Ho-Oh and Lugia packs, as has been the case with other releases.
The set revolves around Johto Pokémon, including bringing baby Pokémon into the game for the first time, and comes in a year where Gold and Silver celebrate its 25th birthday. So far, though, it’s the only celebration we’ve seen, aside from Chikorita and Totodile being starters in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
The trailer was exactly the same as the leaked video, this time in English, revealing ex cards for Lugia and Ho-Oh, along with the Johto starters, an Illustration Rare Pichu, a standard Cleffa, and several Support Cards. Shiny Gyarados was also revealed, a throwback to the Gold & Silver games, where it could be caught.
