A side-by-side comparison of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet screenshots shows that the Nintendo Switch 2 should help the RPG pop and sparkle in a way it struggled to with the original Nintendo Switch release.
Nintendo and Pokémon fans notoriously had to endure a less-than-ideal Pokémon Scarlet & Violet release. The Nintendo Switch got both launches simultaneously. However, the games suffered (and continue to do so) from huge performance issues. The Switch 2 is offering first-party upgrades to crucial titles, though, and Pokémon Scarlet & Violet are included.
Nintendo Switch 2 Could Make Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Reborn

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet’s debut was marred by choppy frame rates, ugly textures, objects moving stagnantly in the background, and much more. It was all the more baffling because of how good Tears of the Kingdom ran—a bigger and grander project.
Reddit user GiratinaBabbies has shown off the difference between Pokémon Violet running on Switch 1 and Switch 2. The difference is night and day, quite simply.
The image on the right looks crisp and like it’s making the most of the Switch 2’s 4K HDR and 120 FPS capabilities. Whereas the image on the left is what I remember about the title.
You might’ve had a shinier experience if you used an OLED Switch, but the performance still wasn’t ideal, and the game wasn’t really improved after launch. The Nintendo Switch 2 might finally be the way to enjoy the games the way they were intended.
