Mithra is a 2D hand-drawn point-and-click adventure about a long-forgotten ancient cult. As highlighted during the Insider Gaming Showcase, you’ll investigate ancient gods, explore urban labyrinths, and uncover conspiratorial puzzles that collide in a modern myth you live through.
You play as Kyra, a young girl from London whose ties to the world’s first cult run deeper than she could ever imagine. This mystery takes her on a global adventure, with each location packed with its own secrets to discover.
Gameplay ranges from dialogue choices that shape revelations and relationships to a diverse range of puzzles that should test your wits in every capacity. A demo is already available on Steam, and the full release is planned for later this year.
What Is Mithra?
To learn more about Mithra and its development, we sat down with the creators of the game, Daniel Griffin and Jared Rigby.
Key Features
2D Hand-Drawn Art Style
Mithra is a wonderfully designed adventure that’s characterised by its unique art style. Every asset and environment is carefully hand-drawn by the artists at Seventh Disorder, whilst a completely bespoke soundtrack backs the whole experience.
Puzzles In All Shapes & Sizes
At the heart of Mithra is, of course, the conspiracy surrounding the first ever cult. To get to the bottom of the mystery, you’ll have to solve all sorts of layered puzzles that encourage observation, experimentation, and creative thinking.
Things Get Weird
Mithra isn’t afraid to veer into the stranger side of things. The developers were inspired by the tension of immersive ARGs and slow-burn twisty cinema, and those sentiments are reflected heavily in the branching narrative.

The Studio Behind Mithra
Mithra is developed by Seventh Disorder, an independent studio based in Manchester, England. Founded by Dan, Jared and Tim, the three had a clear goal of bringing an idea of Dan’s to life in video game form.
What began as evening meetings and long weekends quickly blossomed into a first playable demo—available now! Thanks to such a strong response, the team decided to move on and make the full game.
Now, Seventh Disorder boasts a team of six, as the group are working towards getting the game ready to release later this year.
