Unyverse Gets a New Trailer at Insider Gaming Showcase

Unyverse is an all-new Afrofuturistic RPG coming in 2027 from Afrime Studios, and during the recent Insider Gaming Showcase, it received a stunning new trailer. This exciting title offers players the opportunity to ‘change the fate of a galaxy’, and it’s being assembled with exciting combat mechanics and stunning visuals.

Below, we’ve got everything you need to know about Unyverse, from the game’s key features to an exclusive interview with the developers at Afrime Studios. Check out the game’s new trailer below and find out why it had such an important spot at the Insider Gaming Showcase.

What is Unyverse?

Unyverse is a unique and intriguing Afrofuturistic sci-fi RPG with some serious meat. In this game, you create your character and venture into a vast world where African cultures have shaped the stars. Unyverse boasts intense fighting mechanics, placing players in control of a D’zola Warrior with unique abilities, not all of which are inherently violent.

It has a sumptuous visual palette that incorporates eye-popping combat effects and some fairly terrifying enemy models, and it uses an original kinetic movement system that stays as fluid as possible at all times.

The team wrote about the game:

Humanity has achieved the incredible feat of quantifying the harmony between soul and physical form. Those who surpass this standard rate are known as Synchs, gifted with potential for extraordinary abilities.  Society is structured around this fascinating reality, creating a world where exceeding the standard synchronization rate opens doors to unimaginable powers.

For those who remain Standards, their path to equality lies in embracing enhancement through cybernetics. This is a testament to human resilience and adaptability – our innate drive to evolve and compete in an ever-changing world.

Key Features

Reimagined Afrofuturism

Unyverse invites players to explore free-roam regions, uncover side quests, secure rare resources, and fight exotic creatures, all while building a reputation with various factions and driving the story forward. This vibrant title is inspired through and through by ‘the African diaspora’, touching all areas of culture, myth, and technology.

Deep RPG Systems

In Unyverse, you’ll explore meaty RPG systems that feature some morally complex decision-making opportunities. The steps you take through Unyverse will impact factions, alliances, and the wider galaxy around you.

Energetic Combat Model

Unyverse isn’t all about diplomacy and relationship building. There are a lot of combat sequences in this game, and it’s built on the foundations of traditional fighting games. This means users can build combos, use finishing moves, and wield weapons in their fight to survive.
