During the showcase event today, players were informed about some new features of the upcoming 2D multiplayer social deduction title, Meowstery Wisp. The title has set an early access release window for June 2026. New features included details like No Early Elimination, Dual-Phase Gameplay, Dynamic Hidden Roles, and more, which you can learn about below
- No Early Elimination: Meowstery Wisp will not eliminate players early in a session; instead, they will remain in the mix and influential until the “dramatic Ritual finale”.
- Dual-Phase Gameplay: Players will follow a 5-round cycle that includes a real-time exploration phase, where they see an “unusual clock triggered by player action”; an Analysis phase where they deduce; and a final Ritual Phase.
- Dynamic Hidden Roles: Meowstery Wisp players will also receive some secret assignments, where Detectives (the majority role) need to find 5 artifacts to complete the ritual. A Spy is tasked with misleading and disrupting the entire process, and the Pccultist will work to manipulate the ritual to secure a specific sacrificial win.
- Whimsical Aesthetic: Players will explore a handcrafted world with a “cozy” vibe and eerie Victorian elements, featuring a whimsical environment and atmosphere that evokes social paranoia and detective vibes.
- Interactive Logical Puzzle: Meowstery Wisp will not feature static stories; rather, players will solve interactive puzzles that feature progress, resources, or special powers. Some of these will also require cooperative input.
