Alea is a multiplayer hero shooter being developed by a single dev. In this game, players can choose from characters that offer two distinct combat styles, allowing them to develop a playstyle that is uniquely theirs. Transitioning from defense to offense is as simple as pressing a button, and entering new matches is nearly instantaneous thanks to MMR-based matchmaking. The game is set in a Greco-Roman world, featuring “stylized art and chill music.”
There are a variety of game modes available, including 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 arena matches. The gameplay will focus on high-intensity matches in which you must outsmart your opponents by quickly switching from offense to defense as the situation demands. There are two classic fantasy archetypes, Warrior and Mage, that players can choose from.
Alea also has a strong community focus, where players can make allies on the battlefield, help them level up, and be the warrior who brings victory to their team. The community will also help shape the future of Alea as the developers have promised a “responsive, active development team and regular updates and patches.”
