IO Interactive announced the first-ever IOI Showcase, featuring a first look at 007 First Light, along with new information for other projects.
Since launching Hitman 3 in 2021, IO Interactive has been relatively quiet. Additionally, the development studio hasn’t developed a title other than Hitman sequels since Kane & Lynch 2 in 2010. It’s long overdue for a new IP, and IO Interactive ended that drought by partnering with Build A Rocket Boy to create MindsEye.
That’s not the only new project, as 007 First Light ends a long drought of James Bond games, and a reveal is coming soon.
How to Watch The IO Interactive Showcase

IO Interactive announced that the IOI Showcase will take place on June 6 at 6 PM PDT. It was not revealed how long the stream would last, but Hitman World of Assassination, 007 First Light, and Mindseye will all be showcased.
You can tune into the event on the IO Interactive YouTube channel.
In a 2023 interview, IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abran said that the game is the “ultimate spycraft fantasy”. The game will be a third-person action game with an original James Bond who isn’t based on any prior movies or actors.
The standalone story isn’t tied to any of the movies. There will also be other trailers, announcements, and gameplay demos.
Without going into too many details, IO Interactive revealed, “IOI SHOWCASE celebrates our 25-year history with the HITMAN franchise and shares an in-depth look at the diverse future of our studio. We’ve prepared some truly exciting surprises.”
In other gaming news, The Witcher 4’s tech showcase is confirmed for the 2025 State of Unreal, Dune: Awakening will feature private servers at launch, and Nintendo has denied claims of favorable Switch 2 pricing for Japanese retailers.
