IO Interactive Gives New Details On Its New James Bond Game Project 007

New James Bond Game

IO Interactive, the team behind Hitman, is currently working on a new James Bond game, Project 007. Recently, Edge Magazine was able to talk with the studio’s CEO Hakan Abran about the upcoming game, and learned more about what the studio is hoping to achieve.

It’s said that the game is looking to be “a more scripted experience than Hitman’s freeform jaunts”.

“It’s been pitched as ‘the ultimate spycraft fantasy,’ which suggests gadgets – and perhaps a step away from the murderous objectives of Agent 47,” according to the story.

The game will be a third-person action with an original James Bond that isn’t based on any of the movies or actors. However, the game will seemingly be “closer to Daniel Craig than Roger Moore”.

Project 007 isn’t expected to be released until 2025, at the earliest, meaning there is still plenty of time for things to change. That said, it’s nice to see new details on the direction IO Interactive is looking to go with the game.
