Fortnite OG fans should play Ranked while they can, because the game mode is being removed soon.
A Star Wars collaboration headlined Chapter 6 Season 3. The event introduced new skins like Emperor Palpatine and General Grievous, Star Wars-inspired quests, and even an AI version of Darth Vader. The mini-season is coming to a close, as the Death Star Sabotage live event sends the season off in style.
Meanwhile, there hasn’t been an update to OG since late March. Besides a few leaks, fans still aren’t sure what to expect from the new season, but it’s once again bad news for OG fans expecting new content.
Fortnite Set to Disable OG Ranked Playlist

Epic Games announced, “We will be disabling the Fortnite OG Ranked playlist at the end of the current season. Competitive events focused on Fortnite OG will still be regularly available.”
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 ends on June 7, so you only have a few more days to enjoy the game mode before it is removed for good.
Epic Games did not reveal why the game mode will be removed, but it is likely due to OG Ranked not having a strong enough player base.
Even though there won’t be a dedicated game mode, Epic Games reassured players that there will be competitive events for the game mode. In the absence of OG, Ranked fans can scratch that competitive itch by jumping over to the main map and playing Battle Royale or Zero Build Ranked.
In other gaming news, the Stellar Blade social team was caught reposting NSFW content on X, the new James Bond game is being revealed this week, and Madden 26 has unveiled its cover athlete.
