The Galactic Battle mini-season in Fortnite is drawing to a close, with an in-game narrative live event, Death Star Sabotage, bringing the curtain down on the Star Wars-themed season.

Chapter 6 Season 3 in Fortnite has been packed with content, including a wealth of new skins, an entire loot pool of Star Wars weapons, and iconic characters scattered across the map, but it’s all coming to a close.

Fortnite live events are always memorable, and we’ve got all the details to ensure you don’t miss out on the Death Star Sabotage.

The Death Star Sabotage live event in Fortnite kicks off on June 7 at 11am PT/1pm CT/2pm ET/7pm BST/4am AEST (June 8), though Epic Games recommend getting there early.

Two hours before the event starts, Death Star Sabotage will be a tile in the top row of Discover within Fortnite, which you can load into. While you wait, fly around in an X-Wing or TIE Fighter for the last time this season.

When the live event countdown reaches zero, all players will be transported to the Death Star Sabotage live event, which concludes the Galactic Battle mini-season.

The live event supports parties of up to four players, allowing you to group up with friends, and Chapter 6 Season 4 begins later that day, with leakers expecting it to begin on June 7 at 7pm ET/9pm CT/10pm ET/3am BST/12pm AEST.

Downtime will occur prior to the new season going live.

What Will Happen in the Death Star Sabotage Live Event?

The storyline for the live event in Chapter 6 Season 3 was teased at the start of the season by Epic Games, with the in-game narrative event set to “take the fight to Emperor Palpatine.”

In the latest Epic Games blog post, the live event is said to take place “when the Death Star will be most susceptible to attack,” with the aim being to stop the superlaser from destroying the Battle Royale Island.

The events that take place in the live event will shape the map for Chapter 6 Season 4, with the likelihood that Star Wars-related POIs will be removed as the focus shifts to a superhero-themed season—which leaks say will include DC’s Superman.

During the live event, it’s claimed every player will become a stormtrooper, with the armor appearing over any equipped skin to leave just the head showing.
