Fortnite’s Galactic Battle season, focused on Star Wars, continues to bring fresh content, with the latest addition being a Star Destroyer to take control of.
After regular weeks of updates, Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 is rapidly approaching the end, with a live event planned to mark the occasion, before a new season kicks off.
The Empire has provided a new toy to enjoy before that though, and we’ve got all the details you need.
How to Get the Star Destroyer

Similarly to Godzilla earlier in Fortnite Chapter 6, the Star Destroyer is available once per game and can only be used by one player or team.
During a match, a rift point will appear, indicating the Star Destroyer is ready to be claimed, though the location is random. When it appears, it’s a race to see who can get there first.
The Star Destroyer usually appears after the second zone circle has finished, so you need to survive the initial battles and loot gear, but keep an eye out for the rift point appearing and listen to the sirens.
I recommend stocking up on decent weapons in case a fight occurs near the rift point, as lots of players will be chasing the same objective, and it’s also worth having a vehicle on standby for quicker traversal.
Unlike securing Lightsabers from holograms and Darth Vader, you don’t need to interact with the rift point for the Star Destroyer, so just run straight through it.
If you don’t win the race, run for cover and try to stay hidden from the cannons!
How to Use the Star Destroyer
Once inside the Star Destroyer, fire away at those below to deal huge amounts of damage and destroy structures. Don’t worry about steering, as movement is automatic.
The cannons on the Star Destroyer have a cooldown of two seconds, so manage your strikes wisely, and be aware that the entire duration of the Star Destroyer is around 90 seconds.
The Star Destroyer also has a scan feature to locate enemy players and is capable of marking a maximum of 25 targets.
In solo play, each shot by the Star Destroyer does 90 damage, reduced to 72 in Duos, 54 in Trios, and 36 in squads.
Once the star Destroyer timer is up, players in control are immediately rifted back into the match and float down to the ground.
