The Fallout live-action adaptation from Amazon Prime and Kilter Films debuted in April 2024, stunning audiences worldwide. It was a transformative time for the post-apocalyptic series, and the success of the show brought millions of players into (or back to) the franchise’s many games.
In a recent interview at a Comic Con event in the United Kingdom, one of the leads of the Fallout television series, Aaron Moten, spoke about the intended length of the show. He said that it could be as long as six seasons, which at the current production rate would push the show beyond a decade in staying time.
Long Time in the Wasteland
The Fallout television series is a critically acclaimed show that has managed to win awards with relative ease. It’s a fantastic representation of the series that has run for more than 25 years, and it’s as authentic as we all hoped for.
In a recent appearance at Liverpool Comic Con in the United Kingdom, Aaron Moten spoke about the future of the series and how long it might be around for:
When I signed on to do the series, we would have a starting point, and they gave me the endpoint. And that endpoint hasn’t changed, but it is a season five, six type of endpoint.
We’ve always known that we’re going to take our time with the development of the characters.

He also confirmed in the same interview that Deathclaws are coming in season two, which wrapped filming in the last few days.
With the current production rate sitting at around two years per season, a six-season series would take more than a decade to be delivered in full. That’s good news for me, being a diehard Fallout fan.

Yeah, run for a decade and then get canceled after filming the planned second to last season and leave them no way to actually tie it up in a bow because “it got too expensive” for the richest clown in the world.
