Arc System Works will reportedly be releasing a brand-new game later this year for the Nintendo Switch 2, it has been claimed.
The claims come from the X (formerly Twitter) account X0X_LEAK, who has generally a good track record when it comes to datamining games including Marvel Rivals.
According to the dataminers, a new game is in the works by Arc System Works under the codename ‘Watari’. Reportedly, the game is in development on Unreal Engine 5.4 and is set to release for the Nintendo Switch 2 this November.
Specifically, the leaker claims that it will release on November 25, 2025.
But is it a New Game?
While XOX_LEAK has claimed that the Nintendo Switch 2 game will be a new title, some people on the /r/GamingLeaksAndRumours have theorized that this might not be a new game after all, rather just a port.
That’s because ‘Watari’ means ‘crossing’ when said in the context of crossing a road, river, or lake. That’s led some people to believe that the game is likely to be some kind of Nintendo Switch 2 port, but as for which game is unclear.
Regardless, we might not have long to wait on an official announcement of what the game is if it’s scheduled to release in November. In fact, we could see an announcement as early as June during Summer Games Fest.
