It has just been claimed by a Fortnite leaker that ‘Glider Releasing’ is coming to the hyper-popular battle royale game soon. This feature will allow users to cut their glider early and land faster than ever before, which is something fans have been seeking for many years.
Now, it’s just up to you to make sure you don’t slam into the ground at 100 mph as you cut your glider and hope for the best.
Innovation After All
It seems bizarre that Fortnite has never offered players the ability to cut their glider and land a little faster. Instead, the game forces users to remain in their glider until the last second, negating any major fall damage but slowing down descent to what often feels like painful speeds.
With the Glider Releasing feature touted by Wenso on social media, players will be able to cancel their glider and plummet a little earlier than usual. This could open up some serious exploits that allow players to leap from the Battle Bus and hit the ground running in a matter of seconds.
Glider Releasing is coming to Fortnite! This will give you the ability to let go of your glider early and land faster instead of gliding to the floor! But you’ll also need to watch out for fall damage. Related Tags: – “DangerLoop” – Skydiving – Stomp FX (when landing)
As one user pointed out in the comments, there’s nothing (assumedly) preventing you from finding a body of water and aiming straight for it, softening your impact and allowing an instant start to every match.
Can you see how the Glider Releasing feature could be abused in Fortnite? Let me know if you’re eager to see this feature added to the game on the Insider Gaming forum.
