Aonuma Credits Young Developers for Ocarina of Time Remake

In a recent interview with Japan Today, the legendary Zelda producer admitted he is very nervous about the release because he doesn’t know how it will be received. He also noted that he left plenty of room for surprises in the game and credited the younger staff members, some of whom haven’t played the original, with bringing a fresh perspective.
“It’s thanks to these young people, by thinking about how to adapt the game in the best possible way, how to make it fun once you have the controls in your hands, that this remake came into being,” he says.

“I’m very interested to see what the younger staff will imagine” for future titles, he said, adding that he was “extremely happy” to offer his guidance so they can “think together” about the next Zelda.
