The Bachelor is an incredibly popular entertainment franchise with several TV Series adaptations across different countries, but it failed to successfully enter the video game market.
Warner Bros. published The Bachelor: The Videogame for Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS in 2010, and it received overwhelmingly negative reviews from fans and critics. However, the IP owner seems to be giving it another chance with a new The Bachelor game.
The Bachelor: Second Chance

Warner Bros. filed a trademark application for The Bachelor: Second Chance with the EUIPO on October 28, 2026, and it protects the IP under Classes 9 and 41. Big companies like to protect their property across various services, so their wording can be ambiguous, but the recent trademark mentions game-related keywords more than a dozen times. It is twice as many as the mentions of film-related words.
The list of Goods and Services is very long, but here’s a compilation of game-related mentions. Mind you, these are all only from Class 9. Class 41 also contains half a dozen more keywords.
“CD ROM computer game discs; downloadable software for use in playing online computer games; downloadable computer game software; computer game software for use on mobile and cellular phones; video and computer game programs; video game cartridges; computer and video games which are designed for hardware platforms, namely game consoles and personal computers; computer game software for gaming machines including slot machines; computer software or firmware for games of chance on any computerized platform, including dedicated gaming consoles; CD-ROM and digital versatile computer game discs and computer programs.”
That said, it seems unlikely this trademark is for anything other than a video game, but a trademark alone doesn’t confirm a complete project. The first game wasn’t well received, and until we hear an official announcement, there is no telling whether this would even see the light of day.

But to keep things a bit more interesting, the wordmark itself gives plenty to speculate on. “Second Chance” sounds like a potential sequel title, and almost like wordplay from Warner Bros. This could be a second chance for the IP to enter the video game market, and we might even see familiar faces from the show in the game. It could also give contestants who lost in different seasons a second chance to compete for another shot at the win, but this time the player controls those characters.
This will also be a bigger project with a multi-platform strategy, as the trademark covers computers, mobile devices, and even consoles. Warner Bros. may have attributed the initial failure to the platform availability, and instead of porting a failed title, it simply wants to deliver something better to a wider audience. It sounds like a solid strategy, but only time will tell.
