Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 To Release in October 2026, It’s Claimed

According to a new claim, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is set to release in October 2026.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is rumored to be the next mainline entry in Activision’s highly popular series; however, we have yet to hear any concrete details about the title. The last time there was any mention of the game was when Infinity Ward appeared to debunk rumors in their Happy Holidays post.

Modern Warfare 4 to Release on One of the Fridays in October 2026

The claim that Modern Warfare 4 will release in October 2026 comes from the reliable leaker CharliIntel. In a recent X thread (formerly Twitter) by Call of Duty creator TDawg, Charlie stated that the game will be released this year in response to the creator’s prediction. In a reply, the insider also stated that there are “5 Fridays in October, so it’ll be one of them” when asked for an exact release date for MW4.

Modern Warfare is one of the most popular Call of Duty series, and players have been eagerly waiting for a new installment since Activision decided to release two Black Ops games consecutively. The interest is definitely there, as only last month Modern Warfare 2019 started exploding after years on the market, thanks to a deep discount on Steam, which also helped the game reach a new all-time player peak.

In other news, check out Insider Gaming’s recent interview with journalist Cade Onder to talk about his documentary looking at the development of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Additionally, Sledgehammer Games once planned a massive Halo collaboration in Modern Warfare 3, in which some Halo maps would come to Call of Duty.

  • The big question will be , how will it differ from recent black ops games (other than new maps).
    Perhaps a new DMZ mode?

  • You guys blew it when you abandoned MW2 and DMZ. You could have milked that franchise for years. It was creative, great gameplay whether looting or shooting.

  • If they don’t go back to the basic war game style with no novelty characters I won’t be purchasing it! I didn’t buy COD 7 due to the ridiculous characters and maps in the game. This will be a make or break game for COD in my opinion.

  • I can buy call of duty if I want to and you do not a the right to say that to me and other people I can buy it with my own money
