No one is ready for Housemarque’s newest game, Saros. The newest iteration of blistering bullet hell and exhilarating action is expected to push the base PS5 to its limits, and its preload date and file size requirements have been revealed.
Even if you’ve never played a Housemarque game before, you should be excited. However, if, like us, you’ve played pretty much ALL of them, then you already know the hellacious horrors of delight waiting for you. Saros looks like a step up to Returnal in every way, and you need to clear your calendar and PS5 storage.
How Big Is Saros Game File Size On PS5?

Saros is confirmed to be 83.440 GB on PlayStation 5 consoles, meaning you need to have close to 100 GB of free storage on your console.
The base PS5 has a fairly generous storage capacity. As long as you’re not overloaded with live-service games galore, you should be able to muster up 83 GB for Saros. We also recommend you leave a bit more room for future updates and patches.

PlayStation Game Size has pretty much confirmed the game’s file size, and the page is one of the best and most reliable sources for this information. If this turns out to be inaccurate for whatever reason, Insider Gaming will update this article.
Expect the information to be accurate, and check if you have storage space available.
When Can You Preload Saros?
You can start preloading Saros from April 21 if you bought the Deluxe Edition, and April 23 if you’ve opted for the more traditional standard version.
Again, we defer to PlayStation Game Size, which has been able to verify this information.

Saros preloads are live across April 21 and April 23, but you’ll need to pay for the more expensive Deluxe Edition if you want the chance to play the game earlier and pre-load before day one adopters.
Check out the dates, sizes, and more below.
Not long to wait now until Saros is live to preload. This is easily a game that could have exceeded 100 GB, but because Housemarque is excellent at optimization, expect this to be 80 GB of much-needed, polished content!

Saros isn’t even out yet, and Housemarque is already staffing up for its next project.
