NateTheHate provides an update on when players can expect the next Xbox Games Showcase. Reportedly, it will serve as the host for the reveal of Metro 2039.
In response to Jez Corden’s claim that there will be a small Xbox show next week, Nate took to Twitter to say the show will be held on Thursday, April 16. He also said the show would serve as the venue to reveal Metro 2039. 2039 is the rumored name for the fourth mainline Metro game release.
As Nate has also claimed that there could be a Sony PlayStation State of Play presentation on Thursday, April 16, he once again stressed that he has not been able to confirm the date of that show. He’s also unable to confirm the specific branding of the Xbox showcase that may take place.
More on the Upcoming Metro Game
A recent data leak of 120 GB claims to have uncovered a canned version of the fourth Metro game, which is believed to have been shelved by 4A Games in 2022. Some features of the allegedly leaked game include following the storyline of the Metro 2034 book and fully reviving Hunter.
Additionally, the game would offer an open world that spans both the Metro tunnels and the overworld. For more information about this leak, click here. Reports that the game could be revealed next week first surfaced on Twitter from @AlexandreNGamR. As of yet, Insider Gaming has not been able to confirm this news.
NateTheHate’s Nintendo Claims for 2026
NateTheHate has been busy lately. He recently released a podcast in which he shared all the news he’s heard about the major Nintendo releases for 2026. Of note, those releases include the return of Star Fox in a game that will reportedly be revealed this month and launch in summer 2026. Also, Nate claims that the next 3D Mario title won’t be released until 2027.
