Early access is a blessing for people without patience, but it can play havoc with the bank account. If you’re looking to venture onto Carcosa for the first time, either via early access or a demo, this guide has the latest.
Saros is easily one of the most anticipated games of 2026 and one of two massive Sony PS5-only exclusives releasing in 2026—joining Wolverine. It’s the eagerly awaited sequel to Returnal, and Arjun replaces Returnal’s Selene as the lead role in a Housemarque AAA game.
Can You Play Saros Early Access?

Saros does offer the chance to play 48 hours early via an early access promotion.
If the wait for April 30 is proving to be too much, then there is a world (NOT filled with hostile lifeforms trying to kill you) where you can have Saros installed and ready to play two full days ahead of the worldwide launch.

As you can probably imagine, this isn’t a free offer, and if you do want Saros early access, there’s a literal price to pay.
How To Play Saros Early Access
You need to pre-purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition of Saros to secure your place in the 48-hour early access window and start playing Saros from April 28.
Here’s everything you need to know about securing Saros early access:
- Go to the PlayStation Store.
- Search for Saros.
- Click on the game.
- Scroll down and make sure you select Saros Digital Deluxe Edition.
- Now, press to pre-order Saros.
- Complete the purchase.
- Early access is secured—find out Saros’ game file size and preload date.
Follow all these steps, and you should be playing Saros two days early.
Does Saros Have A Demo?

Right now, Saros does not have a demo allowing you to try the game before you purchase it, or if you need a piece of the cake right now.
Unfortunately, the closet you’re going to get to Saros (unless Housemarque decides to drop a demo AFTER this article is published) is by playing Returnal, as it’s the next best thing!

Returnal is currently under the PlayStation Plus Extra wing of the subscription service. So, if you’re on the tier, you can play Returnal for free, and this should give you some idea of how Saros will look, sound, and play.
