Silent Hill 2 Remake Coming to PlayStation Plus, It’s Claimed

Konami’s Silent Hill 2 Remake was delivered in scintillating fashion by Bloober Team. The reimagined horror classic smashed it in terms of sales and reviews, and PlayStation Plus subscribers could be in for an eerie Silent Hill 2 Remake treat.

The Silent Hill 2 Remake captured the heart and soul of the terrifying 2001 original. If you’ve been waiting for it to be on sale or come to a subscription service, then you might want to sign up for PlayStation Plus Extra, if reports are to be believed.

Word of the Silent Hill 2 Remake coming to PlayStation Plus comes from billbil-kun over at Dealabs.

In an exclusive report, they had this to say:

“According to our recent information, we can say that Silent Hill 2, the remake of Konami’s classic released in 2021, will join the PlayStation Extra game catalog in October 2025. Barring any last-minute surprises, the title should be available on October 21.”

There’s a slight typo in the original claim, which suggests Silent Hill 2 came out in 2021, but we know they mean 2001. It’s since been corrected on the Dealabs story anyway.

Regardless, this would make sense as a perfect Halloween treat. Furthermore, this announcement would come not long after the release of Silent Hill f—another launch met with universal praise and interest. We can tell you that if you’ve not had the chance to play the Silent Hill 2 Remake, yes, you should.

From its unnerving atmosphere to deranged nurses, it’s exhilarating from start to finish. If you get scared easily, you might want to have a couch to hide behind on standby.

Are you hoping this claim is true? Do you have PS Plus Extra or Premium already? If not, will the addition of Silent Hill 2 Remake push you to upgrade your subscription? Let us know through the Insider Gaming forum.
